Welcome to the the WLU Department of Professional Education.  The professors who work in our department are proud to be part of a 173 year tradition of training teachers which began with the creation of West Liberty Normal School in 1837.
Our NCATE approved program offers incoming students the ability to choose from thirteen different major certification areas with various add-on endorsements 
When they leave West Liberty University, our teachers are prepared to lead the charge in offering students cutting-edge educations that will make them successful citizens of the global world.
